The Story of Saakshar

Embark on an extraordinary journey with Saakshar, born from a deeply personal quest and fueled by unwavering passion, resilience, and a vision for global impact.
After a successful corporate career, Jyotsna found herself in a new role as a trailing wife in Singapore. Witnessing her children drift away from their Hindi roots sparked a profound realization: the imperative to reconnect them with their Indian heritage. Thus, in 2011, she embarked on a mission, crafting homemade worksheets to preserve their language skills and kindling the inception of Saakshar.

 This humble beginning, infused with innovation and determination, paved the way for our pioneering approach to Hindi education. Evolving into a structured curriculum, it laid the foundation for our first center in Singapore, approved by the Ministry of Education.

 Harnessing insights from her corporate experience, Jyotsna spearheaded content digitization, propelling Saakshar’s growth exponentially. With a dedicated team in India, we’ve created over 7000 videos, 5000 audios, 15000 worksheets, and 50 Story Books, enriching the learning experience for students worldwide.

 Endorsement from a prestigious international school validated Saakshar’s approach, securing a pivotal contract and affirming our commitment to excellence.

 In the face of adversity during the pandemic, our resilience shone as we swiftly transitioned online, laying the groundwork for global expansion. Through our facilitator-led online classes along with the Learning Management Platform, we’ve empowered learners in ten countries, resonating deeply with parents worldwide.

 Elevating our vision, Saakshar ventured into franchising, inaugurating our maiden center in New Jersey in 2023. Here, we invite Indian families to rediscover Hindi in a vibrant, immersive environment, bridging cultures and fostering connection.

 With centers now in Singapore and New Jersey, Saakshar embarks on a journey to redefine language education on a global scale, one inspired learner at a time.
